Kulina Folk Art Creative Workshops

Give your child a memorable birthday party! We are now offering toy and rubber duckie soap making themed birthday parties that include a range of materials. During the one-hour workshop, children will make their own unique lye-free soap and add a rubber duckie or embed goldfish and/or other creatures. The workshop will be led by Garine (ga-renée) who will guide the children through the soap making process, which is lye-free and safe for children of all ages. Since there’s no need for curing the glycerin based soap, it can be taken out of the mold and used the next day. Click on WORKSHOPS to pick a theme for your party.

Details:

• Parties are offered for children who will be turning 5-12 years old. Children under the age of 10 must be supervised by an adult. Sorry, no exceptions made since we will be working with hot soap.
• The party is available for ten (10) children (the birthday child and (9) nine guests).
• The flat fee for the birthday party is $220.
• Parties are offered any day of the week.
• We will supply all the materials and tools to make a soap at your venue or home.
• We will do the set-up (45 min. prior) and clean-up (approx. 30 min. after the workshop).
• Advance booking (no later than 7 days before the party) and a $100.00 deposit are required.
• The $100.00 is applied toward the total cost and the remaining balance may be paid on or before the day of the party.
• You supply the table for the artist, tables and chairs (optional) for participants, outlets for microwaves, cake, drinks, etc.

 My workshops are suitable for everyone, including children, as it does not involve the traditional soap making techniques. No lye exposure is involved. The process is fun and successfully allows for the soap to be made and immediately used the next day. Suggestions and ideas from hosting venues are always welcome.
